Recording Guidelines
Tips and Tricks to Record better heads up poker content
Video length
We found that the sweet spot for a heads-up session is 1h - 1:30h, after the 10th minute players forget about the video, relax and just play their game. That's where best content comes out of.
Discussions
World Series of Poker is boring right? Viewers don't watch because of the game they watch because of the characters, we are encouraging bringing topics and have regular conversation as part of the game.
Video Equipment
All you need to record professional like poker content, no worries just a phone will do if you are getting started
Main Camera
We use Sony ZVE-10 for recording our videos since it's the most recommendet budget option for shooting a podcast which fits grate to the heads up format, using a phone for recording the video will also get the job done
Audio
For capturing better audio we recommend using wireless microphones, as Rode Wireless easy to get started and good price for the value, audio from the phone will still get the job done but we don't recommend it
Players Camera
In order to capture player's cards we need to place a camera under each player, as budget option we recommend using webcameras (Be aware of the cables) For portable option we recommend using action camera as GoPro as end option 2 phones on a stand will still do
Lightling
Good Lightling is crussial for capturing proffesional quality content, we use 2x Quadralite Thea 450 LED Panel Kits for our videos
What we need
Once you shoot your content, you need to share the files via Dropbox so we can start with the editting process
- Main Camera Source - Capturing both players
- 2x Camera Sources for each player cards
